Glucomannan is a supplement of natural origin, being a soluble fiber, derived from the root of the Konjac plant (Amorphophallus konjac) native to Asia.

Konjac root has been cultivated as a food in Southeast Asia for about 3,000 years and is an important source of nutrition. It is crushed, dried and ground and used as starch.

In dried form, the root contains about 40% glucomannan, a starch-like substance.

It has the ability to inhibit appetite and promote the feeling of satiety, contributing to a naturally sustained reduction in body weight.
